Weather in Florence
Florence is surrounded by the Senese Clavey hills, the Arno River and 3 other smaller rivers flow through it.
It lies on the border of the humid subtropical and Mediterranean zones. Winters are cold, summers are hot with minimal rainfall.
Since Florence lies in a valley between hills, there is almost no wind here and the temperatures reach more degrees than in the coastal areas. In the coldest months, the temperature can drop to 0 °C and in summer it rises above 35 °C. In summer, you can enjoy long sunny days here. On the contrary, it rains the most here in November.
In the period from April to October, the number of visitors exceeds the number of permanent residents.
